Umbrella valve is a kind of elastomeric valve gaskets that have a diaphragm shaped sealing disk or an umbrella shape. Duckbill valve is also a kind of One way valve, non-return valves that with duck shaped elastomeric lips by die-cutting, thus preventing backflow and allow forward flow. Compare with other type of Silicone one way valves, duckbill valves are self contained, which is to sat, the critical sealing function is an integral part of the one piece elastomeric component as opposed to valves where a sealing element has to engage with a smooth seat surface to form a seal. Therefore duckbill valves are easily incorporated and assembled into a wide variety of devices without the hassle or problems associated with the surface finish quality of mating seats and/or complex assembly processes.
Duckbill Valve’s Sealing Effect Mainly Depends on 3 Factors:
1. Depends on the Die-cutting Tool: It needs to be sharp enough, so that it can cut the silicone thoroughly to avoid die-cutting burrs, and to avoid the situation of "slit" doesn't close well.
