Umbrella Valve Seal, also known as umbrella check valve, due to mushroom shape, and it also can be classified by different valve shapes, like with or without hook, air controller pressure demands with different thickness diaphragm edges etc. The umbrella seal will allow forward flow once the head pressure creates enough force to lift the convex diaphragm from the seat and so it will allow flow at a predetermined pressure in one way and prevent back flow immediately in the opposite way. Our air control valves can be universally applied in many different applications, whether in the health care, automotive, appliance or food and packaging industries. Umbrella Valve Seal Material
Umbrella Valve Seals are available in various elastomeric material including medical and food grade silicone and hydrocarbon resistant fluorosilicone rubber, FKM and Perfluorelastomer to handle a broad range of media and temperatures.
Common Silicone Umbrella Valve has good properties of heat resistance, weather resistance, electrical insulating performance, mainly applied in architecture, electrical, textile, automobile machines.
FDA Food Grade Silicone Check Valve Seal is a kind of silicone silicone rubber with properties of non-toxic, odorless and high/low temperature resistance. Chemical performance is stable, except caustic soda and hydrofluoric acid in normal, not react with any acid base salt. So FDA Food Grade Silicone valves are widely used in bottles, household appliances, etc.
FDA Medical Grade Silicone Mushroom Check Valve is mainly used in medical field with the good biocompatibility performance and won’t irritating to human tissues and non-toxic, non-allergic reaction and low body body rejection.

Umbrella Valve Seal Installation
The umbrella valve seal installation can be divided into 2 types:
Pull-in type with long tail: This is the most common and well suited for hand assembly. To install one places the long tail through a central bore in the seat, pull it and the valve pops in place.
Push-in type: This type is preferred when the placing of a long tail in the central bore is more difficult. For example deep down in the bottom of a cylinder. Or when the upstream side of the valve is not accessible. For example when placing the valve in the wall of a tank where the inside of the tank is inaccessible. This type can also be used in automatic assembly.

Umbrella Valve Seals have three key designs & sizes and two key diaphragmatic surface demands:
Umbrella Shaped Diameter: bigger than one-way valve holes
Hook Height: same to plastic & metal panel's height
Stem Diameter: same or maller than assembly holes
Outside Diaphragmatic Surface: EDM process or texture surface for dust proof
Inside Diaphragmatic Ring Edge Surface: Polish or high-polishing for sealing function.
Notes: Umbrella valve seal with hook should be made of high tensile elastic silicone materials by three layer mold plates for avoid hook damage when production.
