Cross Slit Valve
Cross slit valve functions as a precise distributor of liquids and gases, including silicone duckbill valve, cross check valves and Y-shape valve. Dispensing valve is made from high-quality food-grade & medical-grade silicone rubber through compression molding or injection molding, allowing it to be safely used in food, daily necessities, and cosmetics applications, such as beverage bottle cap, tomato sauce / honey bottle cap, etc. Diaphragm control valve can serve as a trocar check valve, toilet tank valve, aerosol spray valve, bottle cap slit valve, and one way fuel valve.
Differences Between Cross Slit Valves & Silicone Duckbill Valves
Cross slit valves and duckbill valves are both types of check valves, but they serve different purposes and have distinct designs and applications.
Silicone Check Valve Design And Structure
Cross Slit Valve:
Features a series of slits arranged in a cross pattern on a flexible membrane.
The slits open and close based on the pressure difference across them, allowing flow in one direction while preventing backflow.
Duckbill One Way Valve:
Characterized by a tapered or duckbill-shaped structure that opens with pressure from one side and closes under reverse pressure.
Typically made from soft, flexible materials like rubber or silicone, allowing the bill to deform easily to allow or restrict flow.
Flow & Direction Control
Can provide multi-directional flow management, allowing specific patterns of flow to be controlled more precisely.
As a check valve, when the four petals are open, it provides a greater flow/flow capacity.
Duckbill Valve:
Primarily designed for unidirectional flow, effectively preventing backflow while allowing forward flow.
Usually designed to handle smaller flows.
Pressure Response
Punch Valve: The opening and closing are influenced more intricately by the pressure differential and may have a more complex response to varying pressures.
Duckbill Check Valve: Generally simpler in operation, opening with a set pressure and closing when the pressure drops below a certain threshold.
Silicone Valve Application
Slit Cutting Valve: Commonly used in applications requiring precise control of fluids, such as in medical devices, food & beverage, some industrial processes, and fluid management systems.
Duckbill Seal Valve: Widely used in applications such as drainage systems, wastewater management, and some medical devices where a simple one-way flow is needed.
Material Of Cross Slit Valve
Material | Advantages | Disadvantages |
Silicone Dispensing Valve (-50°C To 200°C) | Excellent high-temperature resistance Good biocompatibility(medical grade silicone) Outstanding flexibility and elasticity | Poor oil resistance(need to use rubber materials such as NBR, FKM for this purpose) Lower mechanical strength |
NBR Discharge Valve (-10°C To 100°C) | Good oil resistance Superior mechanical strength Relatively low cost | Poor high-temperature resistance Not resistant to strong acids and bases |
FVMQ Leakproof Valve (-30°C To 150°C) | Excellent high-temperature resistance Good chemical resistance Suitable for extreme environments | Higher cost(raw material is very expensive) Relatively lower mechanical properties |
(-10°C To 120°C) | Outstanding weather resistance(good for check valves are used in outdoors) Excellent ozone resistance Good water resistance | Not oil-resistant Weaker long-term structural strength |
FKM Dispensing Valve (-20°C To 200°C) | Excellent chemical resistance High heat resistance Excellent gas tightness | Very high cost Relatively poor flexibility |
How To Make the Slits of The Silicone Rubber Dispensing Valves?
Custom die cutting tool to locate and cut the slit of the duckbill cross slit valve. The die cutting tool is composed of the shaft blade of the moulded silicone rubber valve and the positioning seat. The cap valve is positioned on the positioning seat and the blade is pressed on the upper plane of the valve to cut the slit valve.
Projection Measuring Machine Of Cross Slit Valve
We are proud to offer these silicone valves in different common sizes, each with a perfected mold. In addition to these sizes, we have developed a range of slit sizes to accommodate different types of liquids or gases.
